I'm sorry, but why is this book so high on the list? I've read this book and it doesn't compare to the books below it. First of all, Bella is a Mary Sue. She isolates herself from other people and barely does anything, yet everyone fawns over her anyway. She's special for no apparent reason, really. And she can't function at all with her boyfriend and refuses to try to be a normal teenager when he leaves her. When Hermione, Katniss, and Annabeth lose their boyfriends, they continue to fight for what they believe in and try to get them back. Bella just lies there like a zombie and attempts to kill herself.And Edward is almost a century older than Bella, but they can have a relationship because he looks like a seventeen year old. And let's not forget that he happens to be an abusive stalker who tries to control Bella and make decisions for her. Plus, Jacob, falls in love and imprints on an infant. It was so good! I could not put it down. After I read the series I read it again. It was so sweet. A vampire falling in love with a human. I have to say that Stephenie Meyer is the best author ever. It should be the first one! Everybody likes twilight. Nobody likes the lightning thief. And who doesn't like Stephenie Meyer?
