Thats not exactly fair, but not much in life IS FAIR. I know from experience theres a plethora of sites that allow only African Americans to join. Even some misc Facebook pages. In fact even tried to join one (and yes I still recall the name) and my request was denied. Im mixed. I was never offered a clear-cut reason as to why so I can only presume - which I try not to make a habit of. I was honest and forthright. So, I dunno why but the responder was extremely short tempered and very much inconvenienced by my interest. I was a little upset too, to be honest. Ohh and then another person from that group posted some comment that ( I felt was) belittling to me and I remember the bigger part of it had nothing to do with my original request. White groups, in my opinion and in my own experiences- are much more accommodating and hospitable. Im still perplexed by it, but now I WANT to know, why would they have denied my request? Black is black and white is white. And black and white together is black. And white. Mixed together. I think ima follow up on that too! This would be a different story if someone had given me ANY kind of reason and been civil about it. Believe me, I am constantly sweeping crap under-the-rug. Every day, multiple times. My my. I wouldnt ever tell it all though. Because honestly people can be... I don't know- like devil-awful. Evil. Cruel. wicked. All that stays filed away and we dont discuss it. I rarely mention much of these situations because of controversy it can cause. But I can legitimately speak on either behalf, and no one can accuse me of being racist either. I call it the way IT IS. And trust me, because I DO KNOW from experience. I dont play race cards and my story is not some pity party either. I take pride in both my heritages but it was not my personal choice. It was my parents choice. If you ask me, in summary white people are trying TOO HARD to make up for their ancestors and black people are too scared and worried that times of old will come alive again and so they put up their fronts.
