Metallica are the best band ever. Just listen to their discography. Even their weakest albums like St. Anger or Reload are great to me, they are a big inspiration and they got me into Heavy Metal music. When I first heard Master Of Puppets I was blown away by their sound. They are not the fastest band, heaviest or even most complex, but their songs are so well structured that they albums are very memorable and iconic, specially their first 5. To me, Ride The Lightning or Justice are their best, and one of the greatest Metal records of all time. Amazing band. - HeavyRaiden

Metallica is the best band ever period.Their songs are so well written, full of emotions and faces real problems.The riffs they wrote are the most iconic riffs in rock history: Master of puppets, one, fade to black, for whom the bell tolls, battery and the list goes on and on...Heavy iconic riffs, fast melodic solos, best song writing, james legendary vocals, you can't find it anywhere else.They are so talented, technically sound, creative and have no boundaries.Not to mention that they are still playing live and kicking ass after 38 years and counting...long live METALLICA

Lmao Metallica sucks. They haven't released anything good in decades. They're music is completely overrated and their off-stage antics (Lars Ulrich in particular) are annoying. There are so many bands listed below them who are infinitely more talented than Metallica. Metallica doesn't even belong anywhere near the top ten list. They're not even the best metal band of all time.

Greatest band ever. Their music is spellbinding (they created some of the greatest musical works ever) and they have never ceased to amaze me. I never listened to St. Anger or Lulu but I heard songs from the rest of their albums and I never disliked a single one (even from their newer stuff, which is on par with their older stuff). Metallica is amazing and I think they are much better than bands like the Beatles (incredibly overrated and pretty generic, I have a friend who loves them though), Led Zeppelin (the singers voice is aggravating), and even Queen even though Queen is great. Long live the metal/some of the music kings. People who dont know them (i.e. pretty much every kid in every school I went to) need to hear them. They are masters of puppets (, also the second greatest song of all time) and masters of music. - PhoenixAura81
