It pissed me off that nobody understands how overrated this band is. I admit I enjoy the band and agree that that the guys have talent. But people act like they're gods, these guys are honestly no better than disturbed or slipknot, they're sound is just more appealing to most people. Being a guitarist, I can confirm that they're guitarist doesn't go anywhere near most of the guitarists in 80s metal bands. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're popular, at least it gives some hope to future music with what comes out today but as a metal band, they're way too respected and overrated, people compare them to the big four and other classic metal bands, a7x doesn't touch the classics

I can't believe that people think that a7x has the best guitarist and drummer. The drummer seems to just get points because he died at a young age. But people who think syn is the best guitarist just has no idea what they're talking about, being a guitarist I can say that a7x songs are some of the easiest metal songs I've tried to play. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're popular, it brings some hope to future music considering what comes out these days. But it just pisses me off when people compare them to the metal classics, they don't go anywhere near them, they're honestly no more talented than slipknot or disturbed

They have been nothing but trend hopping trash from day one. They are super talented musicians, but they dont have any original ideas of their own. They are the most talented cover band on the planet.

This band is the most overrated and because everyone thinks that everyone in the band is the most talented person in the world. The drummer isn't that good, there singer sounds like a I dying cat that just had peanut butter, the guitarist just plays scales for his solos, and you can't even hear the bassist. Compare them with:M. I disagree, this band isn't THE BEST BAND EVER, but it isn't bad, if you hate it, I hate you! Heafy vs. Syn: Heafy is dead! The Rev vs. Ulrich: Ulrich is crying!

The Rev was one of the most overrated musicians in the history of crappy music, their vocalist sounds like he belongs in a boy band, their guitarists are generic, their bassist gets cut out of the mix 95% of the time, their vocals are either whiny or try to be hardcore, and their riffs are generic metalcore garbage. Abysmal.

Come on! I agree that Avenged Sevenfold are overrated, however you've at least got to give Synyster Gates the credit he deserves. He is an excellent guitarist and the The Rev killed it on the drums too. - R3d_Draig02

Avenged Sevenfold is not even rock or metal anymore. They are conformist rock. They no longer create songs that have a deep meaning and now simply produce songs that are slapped together and use boring riffs that have no power.
