God, Twenty One Pilots. Probably the most overrated band to walk the face of the earth. I remember my friend introducing me to "Car Radio", saying it was 'one of the best songs he has ever heard'. But it's just a crazy dude having anxiety issues over losing his car radio (because there aren't more important issues to deal with in this world SMH). THIS WAS EASILY ONE OF THE WORST SONGS I've EVER HEARD.I'm the type of guy who doesn't usually like hating on bands. I try my best to try and enjoy any band I listen to, and it works pretty much always. But not with TWENTY ONE PILOTS. A cringe worthy insult to vocalists in general, combined with cheap synth tunes in the background. That's Twenty One Pilots for you. And to think that people obsess over this nonsense. These guys should be at #1.

It's fine that you have this opinion on the band overall. They're not for everyone. But, that song is not at all about the "car radio." That's the whole point. You say that there should be more important issues to think about in his world. The song is literally about those issues. It's about how we use trivial things to distract ourselves from the hard issues that we actually need to think about in life. That song is important in their discography because it sums up their mission statement. They set out to be a band that makes people think. Later in the song there are lines that say "There's faith, and there's sleep. We need to pick one please." And also "I will try with every rhyme to come across like I am dying to let you know you need to try to think." They're all about facing the hard issues and are taking the "Faith" side of their analogy in the song. - Jedi_Arts_

I agree with Jedi_Arts_ and the the song is not about the car radio being stolen. It is about the silence. When things are quietthe suicidal thoughts appeir and the problems too.They are telling us that life is worth living and that we need to hold onto the faith we need. I have to admit, I do like a few do their songs, but I have to say that the fan base is seriously messed up. There are people who will go "You only like Heathens so you're a fake fan! Unlike me! I know every song and lyrics that they'be ever sang! " This is all crap. People have to understand that just because others are new to the band, that not every single one of them are trying to pretend that they've been with them since Day 1. I will say that there are people like that, who will pretend to be huge fans, and only know like half of a song. But they shouldn't be called out. If they want to be a poser, go right ahead. It does not, and should not effect that other person who knows some more stuff about the duo. I'm not trying to attack anyone, just putting my opinion out there.

Twenty One Pilots is very overrated. A good deal of their fans act as if they are some kind of pioneers. All the band does is pander to their fan base. A vast majority of their songs are autotuned and beat corrected, which winds up sucking out a lot of the personality they try so desperately to have. The lyrics are trying so hard to be edgy and "dark", when in reality they just come off as self pity and general whining, while also trying to maintain a sense of mystery, despite the tweenaged fanbase being able to figure out the "hidden" meaning to the songs. These are only a few reasons why Twenty One Pilots is overrated.
