Slipknot should not be on here they are one of the greatest bands out there. Mate, you need to proofread your comments. You LITERALLY said that SLIPKNOT IS BETTER THAN SLIPKNOT. Also, Kendrick Lamar has put out some god-tier stuff such as the entire album To Pimp A Butterfly. Also, not ALL rappers flex on people and objectify women. I tend to stay away from those rappers, and listen to more brutal rappers and rap groups such as Death Grips, Syringe, and Kamiyada. Agreed, Slipknot is what I call "radio metal". That does NOT make it bad, but when you're put into the genre of metal, you are subject to comparison to the rest of that genre. They are the best "metal" on the radio, but the "good" metal is usually not allowed on the common radio stations. Your local hard rock radio station will play Slipknot, but won't play Beyond Creation... Corey is a good singer, and they have a great gimick... But that's about it.

I have listened to almost every single Slipknot song, and they are definitely overrated. I do enjoy their music, but they get too much credit. Fans act as though though Jordison is a drum god just because 90% of his playing is fills, when he's not actually that good. There two percussionists are unnecessary. They just bang whatever tin cans they have completely out of rhythm with songs. They only have the position as a way for Clown to stay in the band and have a "purpose", if you could call it that. Not to mention Corey Taylor's voice is horrible live. They're a good band. But not great. - Thrash_or_Die

Slipknot are more suited to be a band that's something known only between other metalheads. Not as mainstream as they are.
