If anything, Queen should be more popular than they are today. I mean, they made Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen (one of my personal favs), and Under Pressure with the Davie Bow-Bows. Who could call them more overrated than the Imagine Dragons crap?!? (and I'm the 12 yr old girl saying this in my generation of musically crippled folk) So, please don't call Queen, The Beatles, and Led Zeppelin overrated. They are they top 3 bands that revolutionized rock music and music in general.

Queen may be one of the better rock bands, but they aren't in the same ball park as the Beatles, Stones, Zep and even GNR (which is unpopular). Queen should be the most overrated band on this list as every member is massively overly-praised. Brian May gets rated as a top 10 guitarists which he is not, maybe top 20. Roger Taylor and Deacon are both rated on lists as "Most talented drummers," or "best bass players" which is pretty annoying since they are meh. Freddy Mercury is the only one in my opinion who deserves all the praise he gets.

They've got some memorable singles, but the truth is, neither of their albums is great. They were one of the bands that focused their career on singles, just like modern pop "musicians".It's easy to say that Queen is brilliant, but if you hear someone saying that, ask them what's their favourite Queen album. I guarantee you they will stare at you quietly, because they probably don't know any, aside from single compilations and best of-s.The band, sadly, became a victim of their singles' success - these days everyone know Bohemian Rhapsody and I Want to Break Free, but their discography as a whole is just average, mediocre. If you don't believe me, go and listen to it for yourself.

I must agree that so many people who hate Queen have never heard their earlier stuff or for that matter taken the time to listen to a full album of their's. I blame the radio stations a great deal for playing mostly their more commercial sounding songs which I myself am not a huge fan of like Another One Bites The Dust, WE Will Rock You We Are The Champions And a few other notable hits. But March of The Black Queen range to Invisible Man to Mother Love to These Are The Days of our Lives and Spread Your Wings back to Funny How Love Is Ogre Battle now that is true Queen. Should not even be considered for the list of most over rated bands only top ten best ever if not # 1.
