Something I don't think I lot of people seem to realize (in my opinion at least) is that the prequels are honestly what made Star Wars..., well, Star Wars. The great lightsaber duels, the new and awesome planets (not that the originals didn't have them either, but the prequels had more), the foundation of the clone armies, the young Obi-Wan, and more characters like Jango Fett, Grievous, Maul. This movie plus its two sequels are what amde Star Wars so iconic honestly in my opinion.This is why I respect the prequels just as much as the originals. The prequels just certainly aren't that bad. Every one of the prequels do have some really amazing and awesome scenes, even the two most hated ones of the franchise, this and Ep. II. We've all heard of Obi Wan and Qui-Gon vs. Darth Maul, among the greatest Star Wars battles ever. Or the friends on Tatooine. So many iconic places and stuff started with this movie. If Im being honest, Im shocked at how HIGH this movie is on the list! #6?!? I expected it to be like, second to last! I am pleasantly surprised! Growing up, this was by FAR my favorite Star Wars episode. And honestly, I cannot for the life of me understand why everyone complains about it so much. It is so integral to the plot of the original trilogy and shows us a world that knew the Jedi when they were in their prime. So many fantastic, well choreographed lightsaber duels, amazingly beautiful scores (duel of the fates, anyone?) great backstory, and a plot that on the surface can seem boring but is actually very complex and vital to the continuation of the trilogy. Unlike the new sequel trilogy movies that literally feel like a hodge-lodge mess of forty different fan fiction writers, the original trilogy, and the Phantom Menace, are certainly more consistent with the story of episodes 4-6, and have an overall story and character arc for the majority of the characters. Every kid's favorite movie (if its not your kids favorite movie, than you're brainwashing them. Let them form their own opinions without trying to align with your criticisms). As we grow older, it becomes less and less enjoyable, but we can't expect star wars to pander to everyone. Let the kids have this one and enjoy the duel of fates while you watch it with them.

This is my least favorite Star Wars movie that got into theater. (If we include every movies the holiday special is by far the worst). There are flaws such as C3PO being there for no reasons or Darth Maul having next to no personality (or at least not outside the extended universe), and Jar Jar Binks which is just a useless comic relief. And again, the only real good thing about this movie is the visual spectacle. - Eclipsmon

I have to say the prequels arent very fun to watch. They are boring and mostly talk about government crap. The first one I think has the most action, and was a more entertaining movie. The third one waited till the end mostly for most of the action. This isnt my favorite movie in the whole Star Wars franchise, but it is my favorite in the prequel trilogy.

This film may be down at the bottom on most Star Wars movie lists, but you gotta admit it had some pretty amazing stuff. Originality, unlike some other films, *cough* Force Awakens *cough*. Darth Maul, new planets, characters, Duel Of The Fates more. This film is nowhere near bad for me.
