The How to Train Your Dragon trilogy is one of the best Dreamworks movie trilogies of all time, of not one of the best of all time. I haven't seen the third one yet but the first two movies are some of the best Dramworks movies ever.While the second one is the best one of the ones I've seen, this one definitely got more charm to it. Excluding the Aardman movies, this is the best original Dreamworks movie of all time. It does a great job at showcasing friendship between a human and a dragon. Everyone sees dragons as pests but it's explained why they act the way they do. Masterpiece movie. - darthvadern

This is one of the best movies ever made. Honestly, its amazing. It completely blew me away in cinemas. At first when my friend dragged me to go see it I didn't want to. Then as soon as it started I was hooked at the first line. The animation is beautiful and the characters are amazing and the voices just go with it. And I mean, how can anybody resist dragons? Especially when you wanna just go hug 'em *cough* Toothless *cough* This is by far my favourite movie of all time. I don't know why this isn't at number one.

Ok ok ok right I don't like this movie. yeah call me a name or two but that won't make change my opinion. I find the story bland, it's not that entertaining and the voices are annoying. Its just weird and bizzare. I find Family Guy better than this ( although I love Family Guy ) your probably thinking " this guy has no taste in film " but it's my silly personal opinion. I guess the storys ok and the animations good-- oh who am I kidding, whenever this came up on T.V. immediately turned it onto something else. I tried watching an episode of it I really did, but I just got BORED. I find Disney and Pixar movies better than this. There are many more things but I'm bored in my house so I'll do something better

No hyperbole, this movie is a flawless piece of art. Expert visual storytelling. A perfect clear arc. A beautiful score. The world building. The symbolism. This movie makes you fall in love while watching it with the characters and of course Toothless. Even the action scenes and the light sense of humor. This movie is a fantasy for story for literally everyone. In my mind this is one of the most underrated animated films and films in history.

I do not understand why there are still people that haven't seen this movie. The plot is amazing, the animation is FANTASTIC, and the main characters are so lovable. The relationship between toothless and Hiccup is so great. I've seen this movie countless times, and it will be a classic one day.

As a huge fan of animated movies, especially those from Disney/Pixar and Dreamworks, I have seen almost all of these movies at least once. But, I must say, none were nearly as great as this one. I have watched How to Train Your Dragon numerous times and have never gotten bored even for a moment.

My absolute favorite animated movie. People on Shrek are badmouthing it and I'm all like 'well Shrek got too many sequels'. The second HTTYD movie was still pretty damn good, especially since they didn't do the cliche 'oh your love brought your father back to life' sort of thing, I'm glad he stayed dead.

WAIT... How to train your dragon is #8?!, I thought it will be #1 because it is my favorite and the best movie I have ever seen, the dragons are awesome and the story line is very beautiful, it brings me hope in the life every time I watch it, I loved dream works only because of this movie.

HTTYD is better than all animated movie, Woody and Buzz Lightyear should be destroyed by Toothless, Curse you Disney, Pixar, AMPAS for stealing oscar from this movie, AMPAS SHOULD BE DESTROYED, If Toy Story 4 were to win Oscar, I will would disqualify All Disney Oscar winning movie including Star Wars, Marvel, 20th Century Fox movies from Academy Awards, BYE BYE DISNEY.

So one of the best movies ever made... IS NUMBER 50?! How is this not in the top ten? This is by far the best animated movie ever made, and Toothless is my favorite fictional character ever.
