An absolute legend of science. Not the most prolific in terms of his advancement of knowledge, but he turned science on its head from a highly elitist language that only few people with many qualifications could learn and contribute to, to one in which everyday people like you and me could understand aND apply to our everyday lives.

Sagan didn't answer the big questions, he translated them for us. Science has become a very universal and accessible language now. If you've ever stood out and marvelled at the stars, watching 'Cosmos' is an absolute must.
