I am currently in 7th grade, they spoon feed you and act like middle school is going to be easy in 6th grade. Over the summer some drama starts and carries on into 7th grade. To make things worse, the teachers that you liked last year became worse and the bad teachers get even worse. The work becomes a lot harder and they expect you to do it in little time. They don't grade anything either to make life worse. You then become depressed and stressed out, your probably also going through puberty at this point. The teachers make everything seem easy when they really just want to sit on you. Good Luck 6th graders who are going to 7th grade!

Im currently in 7th grade now and its been horrible. The work is so much harder and my friends are changing even more this year. Some of my friends are all about wanting to be popular and cool and its so annoying. Its like you want to be grown up and mature but not too much. There is a lot of peer pressure, at least for me, and you just want to fit in, but if you are like me and have strict parents, its even harder. The work in 7th grade is so much more and I get so stressed about tests and assignments. I dont know if this is just me, but my relationship with my parents is getting difficult too. Every day we argue about something and I cry. I just want to be like others, and they expect me to be always use nice words even when they are pissing me off. I could go on and oml but bottom line, 7th grade and the whole turning 13 thing is hard.

It packs you with homework and drama because in 6th grade they sort of baby you because its your first year of middle school. Once 7th grade comes they pack you with daily homework and HUGE projects that could make your grade. It's a lot to deal with with work itself but then drama starts to linger around. You get caught in drama because you guys are not the 8th grade big ones yet that are going to leave to highschool next year so you are the next top dogs at the school. It may be a tough year but if you focus and myob then you will probably survive haha. Good Luck!

I hated 7th grade. I had to move out of my state which I'm not saying and the school I went to was the WORST! Thank GOD I only stayed there for a year and moved back to the school I went for 6th grade (which was great and I recently graduated 8th grade there). I didn't really like my teachers except four of them and the kids in my grade (well, girls because it was an all-girls school) were very annoying with some exceptions (the exceptions were kids I liked and had things in common with me but I didn't hang out with them because I never knew what they were talking about; I still regret that). I also had one of the worst teachers there. My dance teacher (yeah, dance was a mandatory class, sad). She laughed at me when I messed something up and almost poured water on me when I said (well kind of corrected) to her about the time when we were going to present or group choreographed dances. I still have this scary thought I was pissed at my teacher for making me cry so I made up a mystery story with her and 2 other teachers as the suspects the mystery is who influenced me 2 commit suicide for the millionth time and have the glory of finally succeeding one of my favorite teachers was the criminal and got executed at the end of the story I made the mistake of telling a friend in a whisper I told her not 2 tell anyone but somehow my teacher found out and thought I wanted to kill her I threatened 2 commit suicide 4 real she said not to and we forgave each ither but I never forgave myself and never trusted that friend 2 keep a secret - Ihateschool

7th grade in my opinion is the hardest. In 6th grade they treat you like a baby because it is the first year of middle school but when you get to 7th grade they expect you to know EVERYTHING! Everything changes, you have a test every week and so much homework that you sleep at 11:00 because you also have sports! The tests are overall very hard and they are worth not a lot of points that cause you to get a D even if you miss 4. 7th grade is also hard because the tests are very hard and they give you like a week to study for 3 tests and finish a project. This is my opinion and if people disagree that is okay because they go to a different school and all schools are different. Good Luck to incoming 7th graders!

I currently am in 7th grade, (almost done) but it has been the hardest grade so far. I'm a straight A student and for whatever reason this year was the hardest for me to keep up my grade. Usually in school you learn something new, although you repeat the subject many times till you understand it or teachers come back to it. In 7th grade however, if your not paying attention for 3 minutes, there goes your grade. I know every school is different, my friend in another school didn't have the same problems but I did. You never really have time to lay down and watch T.V. its just homework, then IF you have time STUDY cause we had quizzes, pop quizzes daily. It also sucked for some of the students like myself that had after school activities. I know teachers try to balance the work they give us, although at the end its just to much. I'm in 7th grade 7 and it is pretty stressful and probably harder than any grade in elementary school because highschool looks at these grade. It is also probably harder than grade 8 because grade 8 is all about finding high schools and grad, it is still hard I bet but grade 7 is probably more stressful and hard because of what I mentionsled earlier. I know people say that every grade is a bit harder than the last, but this is a different story due to the things I mentioned earlier. On the second day of school in grade u, I know its weird but I got like 5 hrs of homework. And on the first day I glt like 3 hrs. I don't know why but I did. And in grade 7, if you don't listen to the teacher properly and you don't ask question it will obviously be hard (if I have to mention)

The other person that said 7th grade is correct in saying that it is the hardest because really that is the crucial time for skills to be achieved. Reading comprehension, reading a lot, writing a lot, quicker time to take exams and quizzes, and its your first time doing all of that so it is very stressful. 7th grade is when I made my first C on an exam and it was in pre-algebra and I made one in one of my literature courses. of course I finished on the honor roll and was in the quest and I.S.S clubs but mostly because my grades were so good in k-6 and I flew threw the curriculum reading on higher levels than other kids. Also 7th grade determined my getting into a magnet middle school or not. middle school in general is very stressful for a kid in all respects.
