Just screw these guys. Pokemon Black and White 2 were one of the best games in the franchise in my opinion, mainly because the Unova region was so stunning. These guys definitely belong to Neo Team Plasma.

I HATE these guys. They never SHUT UP about how great gen 1. As a pokemon fan, we are always frustrated by this guys as gen 1 (while great at it's time) is now nothing but an unbalanced, ugly, glicthy game that is not as good as other pokemon games. while there are "genwunners" for every fanbase, the og genwunners are always the worst in my opinion. Plus screw Charizard and gen 1 gets to much love nowadays, espically in gen 6 and 8.

Emerald and Platinum were the best though.Emerald had the battle frontier, the first trio of legendaries, awesome Pokemon, arguably the best starters and champion, an interesting story about the creation of the Pokemon world, the Mach and Acro Bike which helped travel through different paths depending on the situation, PokeNav, IV system, and a region with a tropical theme which allowed for a variety of locations such as mountains, volcanos, beaches, cities, plains, caves, and even a city inside a crater created by a meteor.Platinum had the greatest villain team ever in a Pokemon game (they were bent on ruling the universe) an interesting story about the Space-Time continuum, the distortion world, awesome Pokemon, arguably the best starters and champion, and 2 rivals.

Genwunners don't even exist anymore gen 4 and 3 boys are a lot worse. If you say you like gen 2 they'll go like "no no emerald's the best" or "naw naw platinum is way better". I see where you're coming from, and I do agree with you. Everyone has a favorite gen and while objectively speaking gen 4 is where pokemon peaked, that doesn't mean everyone enjoyed it the most. And you are absolutely allowed and encouraged to have your own opinion. Man I really have nothing to do...by the way, technically heartgold and soulsilver are gen 4, and also, hell yeah hgss are greatI personally don't get people actively defending sword and shield, I know the devs werent lazy, just very very restricted in time, But it's still just low quality. Even if you enjoy it, which personally, I did at least a little bit, this is not a 60 dollar triple A title. - LawBot

Only problem is that gen 5/6 are direct upgrades from 3/4. They are better than gen 3/4 in every possible way. You only discussed very trivial things like story which really doesn't matter and legendaries which don't change the game in any way. Gen 5 is better than 1-4 in every respect and once again gen 6 is a direct upgrade

I am a fan of all Pokemon games, but there's one problem. Genwunners and Newgenners treat their preference as god and any other gen like trash. I don't know about you, but I actually enjoyed the Trubbish, Vanillite, and Litwick families!
