I really like the first Deadpool movie that came out in 2016. I thought it was a fun movie with likable characters and a lot of charm and humor. The sequel improves upon it in every way. The story is much better in the fact that it's not just about Deadpool going on a mission to kill one person. It actually has a lot of unpredictable twists and turns and they add a lot more depth to Deadpool's character. Every new character they add is just great and the acting in the film is great overall. The movie is just a phenomenal parody of superhero movies and sequels, and it succeeds in every thing it sets out to do. This might eventually become one of my favorite comedies ever. - phillysports

Similar to how Scream satirizes horror movies while still being a great horror movie and how Frozen satirizes animated Disney movies while still being a great animated Disney movie, Deadpool willingly satirizes and pokes fun at the overused tropes of modern-day comic book blockbusters while still being a fateful adaptation to its source material. In many respects, the budding Deadpool franchise can be seen as a parody of all of the MCU's and DCEU's monotonous franchise schlock. In that way, I believe the movie is a complete success. The movie knows what it is. It knows what it's doing is cynical and attempting to milk as much money as possible, and that self-awareness combined with great characters and performances combine to make a phenomenal action-comedy. There's also much more of an emotional core in this movie than the first one as we get to see Wade show some humanity and attempt (in his own sick way) to become a better person. Comparing this movie to the MCU is like criticizing Spaceballs for not 100% following the plot to Star Wars. - phillysports

The "great" characters are in fact flat cardboard despite their screen time. Not to mention some of them are returning characters and they are still superfacial as hell.Frozen at least had proper characterization,development and some impact with the story. Deadpool 2 gets none of that. So-called emotional scenes is out of place. The love interest character is still a useless fool. Negasonic and his metalman are the same shallow characters from before.Also,satire and being self-aware doesn't excuse mediocre characterization and poor storytelling. Are we supposed to excuse Teen Titans Go! too? - Tia-Harribel

I enjoyed the 1st movie a lot because it was pretty unique and a different type of superhero. This one is the one where Deadpool actually has to save someone. Its just as funny and has a little bit more depth, its story is better than the 1st one personally and half of the stuff is improved. This is a brilliant sequel to a phenomenal film, 10/10 - AlphaQ
