At first, I didn't really pay any attention at her, and everything that took place in that farm was somehow very boring. But I could understand she was in pain and confused, as a quite young girl. When they went to the prison, I began to like her, because she got stronger and assumed a lot of tasks to do for the benefit of the group. Her singing and the way she used to talk to others annoyed me sometimes, but it was normal. I am not sure when it changed, but at some point I couldn't stand her. She was completely annoying and I felt she and Daryl were wasting so much time doing just what she wanted to do. Also, she sounded stupid, talking about the good people that still exists, even though the group have lived so much and lost so many. She annoyed me because she loved an unecessary and inappropriate drama.

I personally was very happy she was killed off. She was such a whiny character, when she wasn't whining she sang, usually at the most inappropriate times. I couldn't stand her! Especially season 4 after the prison was overtaken it was just her and Daryl. She acted like an immature teen trying to look cool /or hot for him with acting out, threatening to take off, drinking booze. Seemed more like Daryl was stuck babysitting a spoiled, attention seeking, immature brat. Felt bad for Maggie when she died though.

She's the dumbest charcter in the whole show in my hinest opinion. "Oh look, people that haven't gone over the edge, not to mention it's SAFE and contains SUPPLIES AND FOOD. Well, it's about time to mess them up and get more survivors killed in the long run."Like really? She finds a hospital with Atlanta police officers, doctors, slaves (that are better off in the hospital), food, a roof over their heads, etc. BUT SHE STILL DECIDES TO SCREW THEM OVER?"WAH WAH, YOU'RE NOT LETTING SURVIVORS GET EATEN OUT THERE! I personally am not a fan of Beth because I don't like the people in the apocalypse who attempt to grasp onto their innocence. Core survival and being selfish are great characteristics to have because, after all, everyone is really just trying to save themselves in the end.Also Beth is way to idiotic, wanting to drink and whatnot, wasting time with Daryl. No, I don't dislike Beth because of Daryl. They actually seem like very good friends.

By far the worst. She reminds me of a minstrel. every time she opened her mouth, it was to sing ( OHH THAT ANNOYING SINGING) or whimper about something. She should've been let go back in her bedroom at the farm. No use to the group as a character, and no use to the audience as an actress, not at all convincing and I think Mr. Kirkman and party got that, maybe that's why (other than the Daryle babysits Beth show) she didn't get much show time. She might be better suited for a Disney movie like Bambie. She should up there along side with Lori. At least Lori was convincing though.

Beth was only on the show for long because she was 'In the script'.

I think AMC/TWD learned a lesson about having a grown woman play a teen girl. I notice next time they needed a teenage girl they hired an ACTUAL teen actress.I think they hired Kinney, not for her talent (LOL), but for her ability to look like a teen while not being under the restraints of child labor laws as is their problem with Chandler Riggs and all the other minors on the show. Kinney was able to film full time without any kind of restrictions on what she could do.While she remained a pretty much silent background character it was no problem, but once they gave her a little bit of screentime out came the nutcase bethyl fans who jumped on Kinney like a herd of rabid monkeys on a cupcake and they have done nothing but cause trouble in the fandom, attacking fan pages and fans who dare to say anything about Beth that they don't like and sending hate and threats to Gimple, Kirkman, and even to Melissa MccBride.Over two years later it is still going on and over an actress ... more

Beth because more likeable during her time at the hospital- that's when you saw some of her true spunk emerge. But yeah, I agree with previous post that she was not convincing as a bad-ass. But maybe she wasn't intended to be.
