Everyone loves Garnet and Pearl much more than they love Amethyst. If you think Crystal Gem, you'll probably think of Pearl, Garnet, or Steven. Nobody really remembers Amethyst. Most people just dismiss her as the comic relief character/the silly one of the group. That causes her to be really underrated. I like Amethyst. She's probably one of the most relatable characters on the show. She's insecure and gets angry for no apparent reason due to this insecurity. She wants to feel strong and equal to her teammates, but she knows and feels like she's the weakest at times. There are lots of us who have those moments of insecurity where we feel bad about ourselves and hate ourselves. Amethyst still manages to be the life of the party and a fun character while actually having a personality.

She's the most realistic and relatable character in my opinion. I mean, Garnet is a stoic, silent, strong mother figure that almost never shows weakness, Pearl is a cautious, orderly, annoyed mother figure with a superiority complex, and Steven is a constantly cheerful, extremely powerful, chosen one type protagonist.But Amethyst? She shows flaws, she gets breakdowns, she has emotions, and just tries to keep going. She's headstrong, stubborn, doesn't fit in, and that can always be good or bad. She is very determined, but sometimes takes things too far. She feels inferior due to her size and personality, and deals with a lot of internal issues.Everyone just passes her off as either the useless comic relief, or the two-dimensional edgy self hating loser. Amethyst is usually seen as the side character. People see her as gross, uncaring, rude, and many other negative things. People see Pearl and Garnet as Steven's moms, not Amethyst. But as I rewatch many episodes, I see that she is one of the most motherly to Steven, probably the most caring figure to Steven (other than Connie and Greg of course). In Jailbreak, she keeps Steven in a protective hold, keeping him safe from Malachite, a scowl on her face warning her not to come near. In Friend Ship, she is the one who catches Steven, determined to keep him safe before herself. Even though they have fought, what characters haven't? In the end, their love shines through. I hate her. She's mean to evreyone, what she did to Greg, shape-shifting into his dead wife (rose) and making fun of him was unacceptable and unforgivable. I may be a little harsh with this. But imagen that somone you loved very much and shared many memories with died... How would you feel if sombody else made fun of you for that? Or shape-shifted into that person? It would be heart-breaking. I can't even imagen the pain that Greg felt after Amethyist did that. You have to be some kinda socio-path who dosnt care about anyone or anything. Other then that Amethyist is selfish, lazy and rude. And that scene made me loose a hell lot of respect for her

I can relate to amethyst in ways. She is my favorite. She has a lot of backstory and I love her story. She is my favorite. because I can relate to her in some ways. She is like me in some ways. Amethyst is my favorite. She is not noticed much but I don't care I wish she was shown more. I love her character. Her story is so deep and her character is so moving. She really pulls at my heart strings sometimes. I love amethyst!

Amethyst is such an underrated character, who falls inn the shadows of Garnet, Pearl And Steven. Also being the more mistreated one in the series, Amethyst still shows her own pure self and never tries to manipulate others (not counting when she fought Pearl and turned into Stevens mom) and she is just unnoticed and unthanked by others in beach city, it's sad. She's so relatable!

While I love all of the characters on the show, Amethyst is my favorite. She's the perfect character to balance out Garnet and Pearl, who are both fairly serious. She is also usually the irresponsible character who allows Steven to get his hands on Gem Technology to cause mischief, and she is just all around funny.

I love Amethyst, I can really relate to her. She is like Stevens sister, she protects him from danger and really cares about him, even if that isn't the first thing you think of her maby. I love that she seems strong the most but on the inside she's not that strong and she can let her emotions out sometimes. She is the funniest and cutest caracter, in my opinion anyway!
