Amazing character. He is filled with emotions, and always likes to see the best in everyone. I really enjoy how, even when he tries to be serious, his emotions get the best of him and he ends up crying or something along those lines. I also like how determined he is to be like his mom, when his moms goal was to be free to be whoever and what ever you want. I guess wanting to be like her counts, but he does it because he thinks, that everyone thinks, he should be like that as well.

As much as I wanted to vote for pearl or garnet, I had to vote for Steven, he is the heart of the show and not just because he is the main character, he drives the rest of the gems to do what they do, if it werent for him the other characters would have given up, he also has developed in maturity a lot, people seem to think because he cries a lot means he is whiny and immature, but this is just a reflection of how passionate and empathetic this character is. He is a character who manages to mature and learn as the series continues but also stays encouraging and he never gives up on his empathy for everyone else no matter what they do to him, Steven is who people would want to strive to be and hes only a kid. I feel like hes the most fleshed out and developed character in the show and I have to commend him for that.

Shouldn't Steven be number one? He's the titular character! Personally my favorite is Garnet (the strong, silent hero type is my favorite character arch), but since the show centers on Steven we as audience have connected with him. Um yea he's nice but he's 14 now and still acts like a baby,or a child.When I first saw him I thought he was like,9 or 10.he's still really nice but I would've thought that he would drop the I'm so adorable love me act when he got older.He didn't.And it stopped being cute,even if he is still short.The crystal gems still treat him like a baby,always carrying him and stuff

Steven is the best protagonist I could hope for in a show like SU. He isn't overpowered and shows growth as a gem throughout the course of the show. He's super lovable and he's awesome and I love him.
