This little waste of imagination is almost as bad as the Minions. Why does the baseless, uninspired, thoughtless comedy relief overshadow the rest of the product nowadays? Olaf is a prime example of that. You can tell he's only in there for marketing. His only purpose in the movie itself is to be "cute" and "hilarious". Granted, he does actually talk, so he does require a bit more effort than the Minions, but if you take him out of the movie, there's virtually no difference. Sure he gave that melting speech, but come on. NOBODY else could do that? I'm pretty sure Anna would be able to come up with it on her own. Or would it not work because it has to be " cute"?
