Whereas Ren Stimpy is the NickToon that pretentious art hipsters literally ALWAYS harp on and on about the artistic greatness of (mostly in a visual sense, mind you), I always personally felt that Rocko's Modern Life, despite being WAY less elaborately drawn (and, in many cases, cynical) than RS, was honestly the REAL "king of the NickToons" that RS pretended to be.Much like with Courage The Cowardly Dog, practically EVERY SINGLE THING about this show is just BEYOND spot-on; the characters are immensely charming and expressive, the art style is once again astonishingly vibrant and one-of-a-kind, the all-ages appeal is near-flawlessly executed (most of the time, not counting episodes like Leap Frogs and Seat To Stardom, although I actually find Leap Frogs pretty decent to be honest), the setting itself is incredibly relatable and simply OOZES with personality, and the satire in particular is CRIMINALLY under-appreciated for how perfectly it captures the horribly depressing ... more - xandermartin98
