Say what you will about The Incredibles being "just another overrated superhero movie" at its core, but Brad Bird's previous work, The Iron Giant, is about as close to absolute cinematic perfection as its type (not to mention length) of film has ever come thus far.Not only does it perfectly capture the feeling of 1950s Cold War paranoia in addition to spectacularly delivering its main moral message of "not judging people by how they look", but it also provides its viewers with one of the greatest examples of "character bonding" in all of cinema (between Hogarth, Dean and the Giant, obviously) and is hilarious and heart-rending to the absolute extremes. Seriously, if you haven't watched this masterpiece yet, do it ASAP. - xandermartin98
