I have lived in Connecticut for the majority of my life and there is absolutely nothing special or cool going on here whatsoever. There are small cities which are all very gross, poor and offer nothing special/interesting at all. The beaches are boring as hell and there is pretty much nothing in the northern part of the state but empty famland. The southern part of the state is just traffic and ugly cities with very annoying people. We have some good colleges but that's pretty much it. I don't recommend living here it is boring as hell. I'm surprised this isn't higher on the list.

I moved here from Massachusetts. I only live here because of work. People could be nice in Connecticut but not very inviting, they keep to themselves. Their idea of entertainment is to sleep all the time, or if not sleeping, just eating and shopping.You rarely see people walking for exercise around here for themselves. They need an accessory like a dog or baby to walk around. Lots of unhealthy people. People of the same sex are rude, staring at you, very uncomfortable if you are not gay.

This state offers nothing boring, expensive and discriminative entertainment, and majority of people here are uptight and conformist. Also, everybody wants to be better than the next person and will look down on those different from them. The big cities here are the only place you can be free from stuck up people but theyre filled with crime, unemployment, and rude people with filthy streets thats been abandoned by the state with goes along with the criminal stigma for people from those cities in other parts of the state. In order to live decent here you have to afford a 500k+ home just to be in a decent neighborhood and have your kids go to a decent school. Even Rhode Island gets more recognition than us and theyre a smaller state with at least more to do. Everybody shops in Manhattan and pulls their Im from NY card because thats how much it sucks here and nobody will know where we are from if we say Connecticut in another state.
