New Order were able to carry on after the death of Ian Curtis, and they made their own unique mark. "Bizarre Love Triangle" is a great song! Foo Fighters, however, don't compare to Nirvana. And yes, the argument that Nirvana themselves were overrated has some validity to it. But even Nirvana's mediocre material is better than what followed with the Foo Fighters.

I'm sorry but these should be in the top 20. I completely respect Dave Grohl and the boys but their music is just so bland and dull and boring. Their early albums were really good and deserve praise but right around "in your honor" they started becoming just plain old boring. All the songs sound like the most cliche rock song ever. It just seems like now when Dave writes a song, it's for the sake of writing a song. It doesn't feel like there's anything special in them anymore. Another thing is Dave Grohl himself, don't get me wrong I have loads of respect for the guy, he is very very talented, started Foo Fighters at a rough point in his life and is great with fans and hardworking. But all this recognition has gotten to his head. He's not necessarily "up his arse" but he knows that everyone loves him and he'll do anything keep that reputation. To finish it off, very talented people, used to be something special, Now? Just a Band writing the same old songs again and again.

I respect Dave Grohl and think he's a fun guy overall, but his music in Foo Fighters is just BLAND. It seems that some of their hit songs are just inundating radio airplay more often than bands who could use some. The songs do get old quickly, and the band's still around, meanwhile Nirvana is always considered the more overrated of the two bands? - NuMetalManiak

One of the most generic bands I've ever listened to. So sick of seeing them EVERYWHERE. Can't have a festival or awards show without these media whores crashing it and making an appearance. The final straw was theses limited-talent musicians induct / play along side with Rush.
