Yoda isn't number one. I'd have to rate it like this:1. ) Obi-Wan: Brave and passionate Jedi, basically trained Luke as a ghost and defeated Anakin's anger and hate. Also gave us one of the most passionate scenes ever, on Mustafar. Beat a guy wielding FOUR LIGHTSABERS!2. ) Luke Skywalker: The only Jedi ever to turn a Sith Lord back to the light side of the force.3. ) Mace Windu: Defeated Darth Sidious and would have killed him without Anakin.4. ) Yoda: Was winning fight with Sidious until the two of them blasted backwards. Also you could see Sidious was afraid of him.5. ) Qui-Gon: He may not have been the greatest at combat (debatable though, because Maul won by cheating) but he was very wise, and shaped the series. Trained Obi-Wan Kenobi, and discovered Anakin Skywalker, which led to the creation of Luke Skywalker. Qui-Gon is awesome.

Obi- Wan Kenobi is the fundamental Jedi of the Rise of the Empire Era. His main focus is on lightsaber combat, his most used force ability is the push. His main clothing is basically what all Jedi Guardians wear. He is a form 3 lightsaber combatant, focusing primarily on defense, but throwing in moves from shi-cho, Ataru, and Niman from time to time. His ability as a force user is average, and his lightsaber combat is good known as the greatest form 3 practitioner of the era, but compared to the best of the era he wasn't as a impressive with raw skill. His most impressive attribute was giving himself over to the force and putting his complete faith in it.He is my 9th favorite Jedi of his era, and I believe him to be the 18th strongest Jedi of his era.

Greatest Jedi of all time. He defeated General Grievous--who wielding 4, FOUR, lightsabers, Darth Maul, and Anakin. He trained Anakin and Luke, arguably two of the most powerful Jedis. Not to mention he's one of the very, very few Jedi who survived Order 66. Obi-Wan lived on Tatooine for about 20 years to watch over Luke and save the galaxy. How many Jedis--beside Yoda--could have that in their resume? Obi-Wan doesn't hide his feeling, but he doesn't stick by them completely all the time either. He makes the wisest decisions. Like Anakin said himself, "He's as wise as Master Yoda, and as powerful as Master Windu. Obi-Wan Kenobi is just plain Awesome!

As Anakin described him, he's as wise as master yoda and as powerful as master windu. Aside from yoda he was the only Jedi to survive the clone trooper attack. He beat both the great Jedi murderer, general grievous (great being the one that fought 6 Jedi at once), as well as the Sith Lord/assassin Darth maul. Of course yoda is #1, everyone in the jedi order with great skill is labeled a master, yoda is the only jedi grandmaster in the order. Obi Wan is amazing. Defeated Maul (Extremely skilled swordsman) twice, defeated grievous, Darth Vader when he was in his prime (as I imagine ROTS Vader would wreck ESB Vader), held his own during the clone wars, lots to Dooku although this was because his style of sword skills were amateur compared to Dooku (forget the name of it) the third movie he was a master of a new skill, he survived Order 66 and the years to follow, trained Luke and Anakin, Mastered ability to become one with the force. His only real losses are from Dooku...I say he's a very close # 1 with Yoda probably having the edge... Then #3 would be Mace Windu (ou, didn't expect that! ) #4 Luke because Luke didn't demonstrate much battle experience (or unreal skills) although he was extremely quick to learn his place, defeat Vader, and keep the good side of the force alive. I don't like Anakin in the #5th spot because he showed to be extremely gifted with the force and powerful but not a good 'Jedi' ever... Same ... more
