Had he trained anakin, anakin would not have become darth vader. And dooku would not become a sith either. He knew the true jedi code. Had the council followed his way. Palpatines plan would have failed.

I have to say I don't like Jinn that much. Majorly due to him being a stereotypical Jedi of his day, and very much not having any real character development in his one movie.He was a strong lightsaber practioner and used form 4, so focused mainly on offense. He was noted as yodas greatest student, meaning his mastery of form 4. He was capable of defeating many opponents with barely any effort, and make Darth Maul go into a full defensive fight for the majority of their duel, however this may of worked out to Maul's plan.His abilities in the force were varied. From his use in the force mind trick, and force pushes to his use of the force to amplify is speed and endurance. Though these were varied they didn't seem to be impressive from any other Jedi in the order.During the Phantom Menace he would of been 3rd or 4th in terms of skill, but by the time of Revenge of the Sith would have been 7th to 9th in terms of skill.

He argues with the jedi council, but even the wise yoda fails to see the big picture.Also darth plagiues states in his novel "darth plagiues" that qui-gon's ability to see the big picture could undo everything the sith have planned. Plagiues considered qui-gon jinn to be a bigger threat than yoda cause of his wisdom.

Without Jinn, there would be no redemption of Anakin and there would be no balance in the force. Jinn taught Yoda and Obi how to become force ghosts. Without Luke having communication with Ben's ghost, his training would never be and he was the only one strong enough to face Vader. The empire would have crushed the rebellion with Sidious and Vader and the galaxy would be lost.

Truly the most peaceful of the jedi and even though he disagreed with the council many times. He was right in believing that Anakin was the chosen one. He was also the first jedi in history to become one with the force. The other jedi are skillful like Yoda and Kenobi but none had the same connection to the force as Qui-gon.

I love that reasoning. Even though he died, he still passed on his skills to obi wan who then passed it on to Anakin. He should be higher, considering Anakin had no controll of his emotions and stabbed everyone who cared for him in the back. But overall, besides obi wan, qui Gon is my favorite jedi.

Qui-Gon Jinn definitely deserves more time and a movie of his own. He was the jedi who discovered the path to immortality, which affected tons of jedi, like yoda and obi-wa kenobi.
