Ancient Greece was the greatest civilization in history without a doubt. The proof is in the putting. Not only is it the basis for Western culture, it also formed the foundation for the Free World. Systems like a democracy and a republic all came from Hellenic freedom. It was also the first known civilization that embraced naturalism. You cannot say that the Roman Empire was the greatest one because most of what the Romans knew about the world came from Greece. They also borrowed many parts of Greek culture, art, language, etc. The Greek were by the far the most advanced civilization of their time and gave the world much of its basic understanding of science, maths, meaning of history, warfare, medicine, art, etc. Just think about it the, Romans history heavily relied on the Greeks and also it was the Greek who prevnted the Persians from invading Europe which would mean the Romans would not have existed.

Greece is the greatest civilization ever to live. Most roman architecture was inspired be Greek architecture. The Greeks were first. When emperor Adrian went up to the Acropolis he took the ideas back to Rome. All first theory's formulae and ideas of learning came from the ancient Greeks. Most Greek learning came from the Renaissance period, the base of all learning. Greece is the greatest civilizations because at the time of Alexander the Great, Greece was by far the most powerful city state ever to live. This state gave the worlds its base of philosophy with Socrates, Aristoteli, Plato,mathematics with Pythagoras, Archimedes, science, astronomy with countless astronomers with most constellations with Greek origin, architecture with Periklisand Fidias the main sculpture of the Parthenon, politics with countless politicians, law, democracy and medicine with Hipocrates. Rome didn't form most of these bases. The Greek empire is the best civilizations to ever be.

No Greece = no Rome. Romans were a bunch of barbarians that took advantage of the fact that Greeks were fighting each other and became an empire. Nothing changed for the Magna Grecia anyways. There's no hate for Rome, just feel sorry for them cause the needed to steal the Greek knowledge, pathos, knowledge and spirit and make it their own. Romans invented nothing. I am proud to be Helin. It will take pages and pages of writing in order to justify my vote. It will be wise that people should , people should be more informed in order to see and understand why Greece is the number 1 contributor by far in humanity.Please dont look the financial crisis of what is happening in Greece to make your judgment. Because economics is not the true criteria.If you think Greece is not worth please allowed us, allowed Greece to take back what gave to humanity such as art, literature, theater, physics, mathematics, geology, medicine, astronomy, architecture, olympics, and more and more.
