This movie probably isn't as bad as people make it out to be, but I can understand why it underperformed.Considering how much backlash The Last Jedi received and how frustrated the fanbase had become at that point, it makes sense that they weren't optimistic enough to anticipate another Star Wars movie in May. Much of the fanbase was dissuaded by decisions made by Disney and Kathleen Kennedy, hence they decided to withdraw from Solo, which I a shame.I've yet to see Solo, but hopefully, it's better than what most people make it out to be. - CrimsonShark

@Tia-Harribel: It was competing against Infinity War and Deadpool 2 is not a valid reason when your talking about the most popular franchise of all time. The fact that it flopped is testament to just how disconnected Disney is to their Star Wars fan base. If they were smart the would have done a Bobba Fett spinoff This is the one star wars character that everyone wants to see a cool bounty hunting adventure on. He is said to be the best Bounty Hunter in the Universe and we have never been able to see just how awesome of a bounty hunter he is.@CrimsonShark as far as the Last Jedi, despite the hate it was the best of the New Star Wars movies by far anyone that says differently is looking at the movie from a nostalgia perspective where the don't want to see an old Luke Skywalker questioning his believes, Luke's Skywalkers character is believable and compelling, the connection between Ryo and Ren, and the story between Finn and Rose absolutely excellent, much better than the New Hope rip off that was The Force Awakens.Harrison Ford is Han Solo you put anyone else other than Harrison Ford no body is going to want to see it - germshep24

This movie should have been released in September so it did not compete with Deadpool 2 and Avengers: Infinity War. If probably would have done great if they released it at a later date. Would it deserve to do great? No, it was a meh. Han was pretty boring in this movie, I enjoyed Chewbacca and Lando, but found Q'ira, Tobias Backett, the villain all to be bland. L3-37 was a massive annoyance. I enjoyed the set design and some of the characters. It wasn't needed; and wasn't good. - iliekpiez
