Although a cliche the training regime of the SA Recces is extremely though. Definitely tougher than the Seals, but on par with British SAS and US Green Team (Seal Team 6) training. Today you will find ex-South African Recce's and other special forces members in many of the special forces units of UK, USA, Australia etc. Strange list at one time the "Recces", The South African Special Forces were considered the best in the world when it came to bush warfare during the Angolan where they were fighting the Angolans, Cubans and Soviets and their selection process was reputed to be the toughest in the world.
