I'm not a fan of socialism, and I don't like the fact that he's openly socialist, but he's more honest than any other candidate right now. He cares about the country and not about his own interests, unlike Mr. Drumpf and Hillary. I don't agree with him politically at all really, but he's not likely to get a 2nd term, and it's not likely he'll make any lasting changes for our country. I think America is a little paranoid of what happened with socialism in the USSR, which started almost 100 years ago. At this point in the race, it's choosing between the better of two evils, like choosing between Scylla or Charybdis. Just hoping that like Odysseus, America makes the best choice for the time being.

Even if you don't agree with his policies or his political views, you have to admit that, for better or for worse, Bernie legitimately cares about the country. He doesn't see voters as below him like Trump and Hillary do, he sees them as his equals. That is a trait that is almost extinct in the modern political climate in both parties. Furthermore, you do realize there.. is.. a difference between a democratic government that provides free welfare and a Stalinist dictatorship.
