I've heard tons of praise from tons of friends about this book. After I've read it, I was extremely, downright, utterly disappointed. Hannah Baker committed suicide and leaves tapes to blame other people and say that it's their fault that she killed herself. Well, point blank is that it was her choice if she would let other people crush her and she vindicated their success on doing so by killing herself.Her 13 reasons why seemed too petty to be intertwined with the decision of a person to kill herself. Asher made Hannah seem like a shallow, vengeful character thus making it difficult to relate to her or at least feel sorry for her. I felt like she was the bad guy the whole time I was reading the book.I don't understand how people consider this "insipirational."
