Police are not out to serve and protect the people. They aren't watching over us the people, they are simply watching the people. I have recently bumped into police and was without a valid reason arrested and put into a holding cell no questions asked. Never mind the saying "innocent until proven guilty". From the moment they arrested me I was not aloud a phone call and what I said to prove my innocence was ignored From the holding cell I was brought straight to prison where I stayed for a night. Not until the next day could I make a call or get help. I couldn't believe what was going on but I choose to keep my mouth shut and later was released. I pay my taxes and work full time. I still can't believe what I have to go through to prove my innocence. Not all police lie but in this case I have a list of four police who lied to make it seem they had reasonable grounds to arrest me. All-in-all this is why I can't stand police. Your story had no context for why you got arrested. Simply stating "i dindu nuffin" doesn't cut it for your readers. What grounds were you charged for? (It must be listed on arrest forms) I am assuming you were arrested for public intoxication; in which then your story does sound believable. Nonetheless, if you had really been arrested, they read your Miranda Rights; why didn't you ask for a lawyer during the whole ride to the penitentiary? - Himuka

It's all of these reasons and more. They are really really too stupid to be able to have such huge impacts on people's lives. They ruin families, kill innocent people, cause financial hardships to children. They weren't like that when I was a kid. Decent people wore the uniform, now it's people who just want power and to punish others. They are heavy-handed with any level of crime. The courts are no different. And who's always voting for stricter punishments? It should happen to them. The only thing that saves you from cops is LUCK, even if you never did anything wrong.

I am from the Philippined, the cops here would shoot you for being suspected with drugs and note that some dead suspects were proven innocent. Nearly half my neighborhood is dead because of my neighbors being killed without even proving their guilt and this includes a 70 year old man who was proven innocent. The president says why don't others take account the policemen he lost, how bout take into account that they die because people are scared and forced to defend themselves. Man, Screw the Police and their "masters"! These extrajudicial killings are bull!
