Media is by far the biggest contributor to americas current epidemic. The media controls what the general population has to hear. Its free on every T.V. and is easily trusted by the greater majority of America. Though things the media covers are true the inflection in which they approach it and the opinion they take on arguments tears are country apart and divides us from being american which is who we all are. It instead uses its power of mass viewership to split us into diverse groups of blacks and whites or democrats and republicans to make us follow their news network for viewership. If you are on here posting that one single person is the sole reason America is going down such as a person as trump or Obama you are are an ignorant and uneducated person who should really read up on issues today.

No. 1 for me is Congress, No. 2 is the Media, No. 3 is the lack of respect for the rest of the world, no. 4 is the education system, no. 5 is the anti-patriotism, no. 6 is the racism (and reverse-racism), no. 7 is the hate from both political parties fighting against each other (it's overdramatize! ), no. 9 is the economy (no. 9 because the Great Depression was far worse and I believe this can be fixed if we get the right president on the job in 2016), and no. 10 is the stereotypical people who live in the country (not that I hate Americans, I love Americans and The USA, best country ever, but the citizens become more and more stereotypical every year! I hate it! )

The media is a huge problem in this country, particularly the way they are covering this election. I just watched the Republican debate, and every other question was about terrorism. They are doing their best to spread fear, which they hope will translate into votes. The media is cherry picking the polls they report, trying to cast Hillary Clinton in as bad a light as possible. Bernie Sanders is wonderful and is doing well but you can tell the Republicans don't view him as a threat. He wasn't even mentioned at the GOP debate, but they sure took after Clinton and Obama. The media, too, is all but ignoring Sanders unless they can use him to make Hillary look bad. Republicans aren't criticizing Sanders because they will go after his supporters if he doesn't get the nomination. If you truly support Bernie and the things he stands for, you have much more in common with Hillary than with any Republican.

No one notices how crazy the media impacts America. America would be amazing without the Media, drugs, and shootings. But the media always changes things up. I hate Trump, but they make Trump look so much worse than he is. Same with Hillary. We all heard stuff from both parties that weren't true. The Media is also ran by foreign people and not Americans. Its sadly true, and unfortunately it won't get any better. I definitely can't agree that the Media was the worst thing in America, but it sparks a lot of hate and causes shootings as well. The media are constantly praising and focusing attention on non talented bimbo's who are famous for no reason. There is no morality about the media what so ever. If you had 2 women the 1 women was a very talented singer, song writer and played musical instruments but she respects her body so doesn't sell herself sexually by stripping and acting promiscuous all over the T.V. and the other woman has no talents or anything notable to be famous for, but she will do ANYTHING for money fame IE) take her clothes off or do something disgusting low to gain attention, fame and money; Which 1 will the media pick to shine the light on? The media is I think one of the biggest problems in any country because they don't tell you every part of what happened or they take it way put of proportion because and this is especially with the reality T.V. shows they want to find a scoop on something and expose it to the world. What the Media does not think of is how many lives could this hurt and what are the causes. Any type of Media mostly Social Media like Twitter. Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and more have caused cyber bullying that the victims are then put in harm's way. So Media is a problem that every person faces and should not always be trusted.

"Reality" T.V. shows that focus on top models, dancing stars, fashion faux pas, "real" housewives, and swamp people are completely dumbing down our population. There is no focus on solving real problems of government overspending, personal dependency, radical islamists, and general decline of morality. Shame.

The media is all over people and issues they want to focus on, most of it stupid issues, while if something were to personally happen to someone of very little importance they will just either write a short article or none at all. The worst part is how many people become absorbed into the mainstream part of media they effectively become sheeple. - NuMetalManiak

The Media can only control you if you let it. We as the consumers, have the power to decide what happens to the media. If people don't watch crap shows that encourage bad behavior, then there's automatically that much less stupidity in society. We have the power to decide how the media will change us. The Media is powerless without a following.
