Rangers and SEALs will ever be as good as the Green Beret. True, Rangers are ready to go on a dime but so are airborne units and pretty much every other special ops unit in the military, it's not hard to kick in doors etc etc. Direct action unit's like Rangers and SEALs are elite but Green Beret can not only do everything they can, but one of the biggest things is the fact that they can go into another country and topple it from the inside without help of conventional Forces. The Green Berets are the most superior special forces in the U.S army. I think a spot between 5-1 would be best. They have one of the best and hardest training. They are trained to survive at any cost. They follow right behind the seals in my opinion. Also, their history is very interesting. The Green Berets fight in airborne squads that takes balls. Most Rangers eventually become A Green Beret. "De Oppresso Liber" translated to English is to liberate the oppressed is said for a reason.

First of all you do not have to go to Ranger School to become a Green Beret. US Army Special Forces holds what is known as SFAS that is open to any MOS specialty. Many that do become Green Berets have served in Ranger Regiments and are tabbed. The majority of the officers are Ranger tabbed as they were infantry officers before being accepted for SF training. You do have to go through Basic Airborne School before you start the Q course.
