Philippine scout rangers are trains hard and long and are still being trained through actual encounters. They don't get dull because actual fighting happens in their territory often. Terrorists are killed (some captured) because by design, they kill. Technology is not their asset and they operate without begging for techs and modern weapons. Their asset is themselves and their skills. US drones watch them while they operate and communicate using sounds, codes and hand symbols. The amount of dead recruits who tried their best and risk their lives just to earn the scout ranger badge... Endurance training alone is hell. The philippines is hot as hell and to be forced to march 60kms in 8hrs nonstop under that intense heat carrying a must total of 35kilos of gear is also hell (you think am joking/lying? Well you're wrong). Every training comes with unbaring heat. Now finally you reached the finish line, but wait? what's this? an ambush? You finally had that moment of relief and now you're being stripped naked except for the underwar, blindfolded, tied up with your fellow battalion in a line and are forced to walk the slippery muddy jungle for another 10kms. Hell week is literal hell. One week of less than a total of 20hrs of sleep...am just talking about the endurance training, and these are not even all of them yet.

I am dissapointed in seeing the ignorance of people towards the scout rangers, they are the worlds finest Jungle warfare detatchment and is the only force which can hunt down insurgents in the deep jungle only using their senses, their instinct, and their ability to handle a tropical jungle climate. to those people thinking Canadian snipers are the best, try telling them to hit a target 1km away with just an iron sight.

When it comes to jungle warfare, nothing comes close to the Philippine Scout Rangers. This is their specialty, they thrive on this kind of warfare, honed by years of jungle fighting against NPA's, Abu Sayyaf, MILF's, MNLF's and other Muslim terrorist in the Philippines. Do others have experience? Most have nothing whie others like ggk and Sri Lankan recon were limited against skinny lanky Tamil tigers. Look at the moros, npas, abu sayyaf, separatists, and natural disasters that the phil. Scouts endure. They are fearless, very precise, light as the wind, and quicker than any special forces given their limited weaponry, try them!
