I'm surprised that the Soviet Union is so low. I mean, it was only present for over the course of the 20th century, but the Cold War has really, really left it's mark on history thus far. The USA and USSR are without a doubt the the two most influential nations of the modern era, since their rivalry created North/South Korea, the Vietnam War, the rise of Al-Qaeda (And by extent the War on Terror), the nuclear arms race, the Space Race, and the spread of Communism to areas such as Cuba and China, where it still exists today. Not to mention, without the Soviets we would've been toast against Nazi, and I might be typing this up in German for all I know.Of course, I would put these guys below the USA, but only because the USA won the Cold War and still exists to influence the world in the present.

Im not even joking this time. This is WAY more influential than Iraq or Persia. Ok. They were medium big, right? Pretty influential. But this country? MEGA influential. Its anthem is sung more than most countries and it is very very very very very well known. This should be at least in the top 10.
