Most everything said here is untrue but the idea that Texas is downright rude is 100% accurate. I also tend to agree that it's the transplants mostly and not the natives. I don't think racism is a problem. Not among Whites anyhow. Many of the Mexicans think they're on a crusade to reclaim the American Southwest (Aztlan) and the Blacks here absolutely hate White people. The drivers are terrible, more so than other states. But the people are just rude and aggressive often for no reason at all. Lots of unhappy people. Property is cheap.

The vast majority of people in central Texas take absolutely no concern for how how their decisions will affect others. Its common practice for a group of Texans to carry on a conversation in the doorway of a grocery store. No one here is aware of his or her surroundings. People driving around at night or in the rain with their headlights off, driving toward oncoming traffic with high beams on, etc. Just completely unconcerned for the well-being of other people.

Yes with everything bigger in Texas the egos are too when I was there pepole were racest and rude and all they cared about was them and maby a few other pepole.Now were pepole that were nice there and a lot of them but the reason I went ahead and picked this one was because some of the pepole there were ruder than pepole in big citys and were just nasty just to be nasty.
